THE RIGHT PATH

Proverbs 21:5

Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

It is good to walk the right path, knowing day after day that you owe no one any recompense. A heart free of guilt will definitely live in joy.

Shortcuts could be dangerous for it could lead to disaster and a walk in unrighteous.

Proverbs 21:8

The guilty walk a crooked path; the innocent travel a straight road.

We must let our children know that it is better to walk in the path of righteousness than to seek hasty reward. For in patience and deligence success is assured for God will bless the deed.

I love this hymn by Arthur Campbell Singer, written in 1894. The last verse says:

All we can do is nothing worth

unless God blessed the deed;

vainly we hope for the harvest-tide

till God gives life to the seed;

yet nearer and nearer draws the time, the time that shall surely be,

when the earth shall be filled

with the glory of God

as the waters cover the sea.

We must know how to plant, prune our growing seed and then harvest. For scriptures says that who sow in tears will reap in joy. God will indeed bless the seed and cause it to bear large harvests. We don't need to do evil!

Never let your children join the wicked. (Are you among the wicked?)

A time of reckoning will surely come when the wicked will be destroyed but the righteous will be exalted.

Proverbs 21:12

The Righteous One knows what is going on in the homes of the wicked; he will bring disaster on them.

Matthew 13:47-50

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind.

When the net was full, they dragged it up onto the shore, sat down, and sorted the good fish into crates, but threw the bad ones away.

That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the righteous, throwing the wicked into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Some hide in churches and religions, thinking that their evil deeds are covered. No, the Lord will expose them, even if they die thinking the have hidden the lie well, they will have eternity to pay for it.

Hebrews 13:16

And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

3 John 1:11

Dear friend, don’t let this bad example influence you. Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are God’s children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God.

That simple, God's own walk in righteousness, there is no other way.

It is all profit, a true win-win for those who follow the path of righteousness.

May we and our generation be accounted as righteous.
