THE POWER OF SEPARATION

Genesis 1:6-7

Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.”

And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens.

One reason why people don't forge ahead or are slow in progressing to accomplish their aim is not knowing how and when to separate. It affects all areas of life, be they secular or spiritual.

Genesis 1:9-10

Then God said, “Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear.” And that is what happened.

God called the dry ground “land” and the waters “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Many businesses have collapsed because their owners or managers have mixed up principal/capital with interests/profits, business with pleasure, stakeholders with busybodies/time-wasters. Some have invested in the wrong things or places. (Know your land and know you water! Selah)

Some have really gotten themselves tied up to the neck, because they do not know who their customers/clients are in relation to those who are merely passing by or mere intruders.

Abraham knew when to separate himself from Lot and his troublesome servants, scriptures even said he heard from God after that:

Genesis 13:9

The whole countryside is open to you. Take your choice of any section of the land you want, and we will separate. If you want the land to the left, then I’ll take the land on the right. If you prefer the land on the right, then I’ll go to the left.”

Then after this:

Genesis 13:14-16

After Lot had gone, the lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west.

I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.

And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted!

If all ministers understands who they are sent to, that they may concentrate major efforts there, they would not exhaust needed/limited energy chasing territories they have not been assigned to.

God displayed the power of separation. He knew where man was to be placed. He separated night from day, water above and those below and furthermore water below from dry land.

Christ Jesus ministered to the Jews, yes many gentiles enjoyed His ministry yet He didn't lose focus.

When He physically left He gave His disciples instructions to carry on the message to the gentiles, He specifically picked people like Paul to join the team.

What are you muddling up. Learn the power of separation from the creator Himself.

Show us clearly Dear Father.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
