STOP HURTING OTHERS(a reminder)

 Matthew 5:22

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

It is not for the believer to go about hurting people. No, that is not the testimony Jesus had. We are to follow His example.

Acts 10:38

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

His testimony was that He went about doing good. This should be our testimony too.

One major way of bringing pain to others is by our tongue.

James 3:8-10

But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Yes it ought not to be so!

We are still human, and could get annoyed or as we say, "be pushed to the wall", however we must maintain our cool. This is why we have the Spirit.

What other ways do we hurt others? Selah.

The truth is we are a light that ought to shine, such that, because of us, God is glorified, IS THIS YOUR TESTIMONY?  selah.

Remember the fact that offences will come is not the issue, what Jesus instructed us is that the cause of the offence should not originate from us.

Matthew 18:7

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

The Lord will keep us and lead us, we would not be the cause of other people's pain. Instead we shall be their source of joy and counsel.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
