LOVE - HOW IT IS DONE

Proverbs 22:9

Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.

The whole message of the scriptures is about love.

The love is not just spoken or felt, it is expressed.

Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’

This is the first and greatest commandment.

A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

We see Christ teach us that all the instructions or laws actually summarize love. Even grace and faith is of love.

John 3:16

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

The expression of love is evident in our actions.

Giving is one of the simplest and basic expression of love. God loved so He gave.

Listen, everyone should love, whether you lack or are in plenty, for both the giver and the receiver must express love. Don't try to get the better of another. Everyone must show that nature of God.

We live in times when lies are normal, people lie even to their very self that they find it hard to live the truth. This should not be the case, we must tell ourselves the truth, then we become close to freedom. Then what we share can be true love.

John 8:32

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

We cannot help everyone but we can do our part, especially to those we have been assigned, however can we overdo it, yes, we could lose ourselves trying to rescue others, especially when we or they refuse to apply wisdom.

I always speak of those who roam fellowship gathering/church places refusing to work but want to eat. Bro Paul says they should not expect to eat.

We have those who when little money gets to their hands, they run off to buy illicit substances, (they are around here). Now listen, do you know that buying irrelevant or temporary pleasure things, fall in the same category?

Listen, we rise from where we are, as believers we must not remain on the receiving end, we must become major givers too.

We cannot afford to keep falling into a pit that we have been cautioned of.

Proverbs 22:3

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. 

The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

I used to tell my youth in those days:

Prioritize, know when to spend that little you have, as your income increases, your expenses should not, saving and investment is key.

You will remain a receiver if you do not get this basic principle right. 

No, arise you will soon be the giver.

Remember, that giving is not only about money. The greatest of all giving is advice, true wisdom (correct application of knowledge) will save you from so much troubles, show you what actions to take and finally prosper you in all things. Help us Lord!

As we express love which is our nature, may it get to those who really need it (many are silent in their pain).

May God's Spirit help us reach out to all in need as the Lord prospers us. Each one playing their part.

Proverbs 22:6

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.

For they must fall into the right category, that in the future they will bring you joy not tears. That they may know that;

Proverbs 22:4

True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.

They must not make our mistakes.

And the God of peace who prospers, will give us a new song. We will prosper and truly express love.

He calls us blessed.
