DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO THE LORD

Proverbs 3:6

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Does the Lord have a say in our lives?

Some may say, ofcourse, God controls everything.

However, the human God created was in His image, having the power of will. Thus, we can resist Him. It must be our will for God to control our lives. For He made us free beings.

That is why there can be sin!

The book Proverbs says that wisdom is:

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Does it mean that God made man without wisdom, No.

Does this imply that God made man without the ability to sustain himself. Not really.

Every human by default was created to create. The mandate of all humans is to prosper and increase.

Genesis 1:28

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Sin came to mess up everything!

One person's increase may not be the same as another person's increase.

E.g, we have great scientist, great businessmen, great motivators, great leaders, etc. The diversity of wealth is large, there is room for every type of talent. Humans were made to prosper.

In all, humans remains empty till the void is filled. That void is the creator Himself, the Heavenly Father.

The presence of the Heavenly Father was what made living have meaning. The enemy was so envious of it that he worked for man to loose it. He just couldn't understand why God cared so much for man.

But remember:

Genesis 2:7

Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.

So, God is interested in how we live our lives here and furthermore what will become of us after here.

Ezekiel 18:23

“Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign Lord. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.

One question that arises is: is this 120 years or less all that man has for existence?

No, man is more than that , it doesn't end with these few years on earth, there is still an afterlife. Thus man should not think of his physical life alone but also consider eternity.

The hope of eternal life only came to light when Jesus was revealed!

John 1:2-3,51

He existed in the beginning with God.

God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.”

The only way to return to God is through His Son, the one who will judge. It doesn't matter what you believe now, ALL will account to Him!

Matthew 25:31-32,46

“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.

All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

As I always say, it is a win-win situation to accept Christ Jesus the only way to the Heavenly Father. Both in this time and the times to come.

Christ promised us victory here (with persecution) and total victory after here. All we do will only matter if we remain aligned with Him.

Mark 10:30

will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.

John 15:1,7

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

1 John 5:11-12

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.

We will finish well, we will live a fulfilled life here and in eternity be glorified in the Son.

He calls us blessed.
