A GODLY SOCIETY

Proverbs 12:8-9

A sensible person wins admiration, but a warped mind is despised.

Better to be an ordinary person with a servant than to be self-important but have no food.

Every human is a creation of God and by default all that God made was good. However, the world was contaminated because of man's disobedience -(the wrong use of his liberty)- and so is the vessels that brings forth the human became contaminated.

Romans 3:23

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

Yet, a child remains innocent till they reach the age of knowledge.

Matthew 18:3

Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.

What is it that is lacking in that little child that makes them innocent? It includes ego, pride, hatred, malice and all forms of unhealthy competition.

It is because of these characters that we see people live fake lives, those who then have opportunity to serve, steal and loot, because they cannot be satisfied.

Jesus asked:

Mark 8:36-37

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

Is anything worth more than your soul?

For someone to keep looting and looting common wealth, is an evidence of a deep void that cannot be filled.

So what are we teaching our children, what do we teach on the pulpits, in our homes, what is the society upholding?

When people are celebrities because of immoral and degrading acts and those who are actually wise and prove intellectual excellence are rarely celebrated if not entirely neglected. Why then do we wonder why the society is in disarray, it is for this reason that evil thrives and the young seem not to have focus.

It is time that God's people cease to join the emptiness, foolishness and rat race the world has accepted and preach, act and show good examples of what a godly society is.

Some may say, it is devil, I was tempted. Listen:

All the atrocities we see reflected in our society has its root from our homes. The powers of evil throw these suggestions in the air, the state they find the individual will determine if they will succumb or if they will resist.

As scriptures says, we have to humble ourselves towards God, then resist the devil, then he will flee from us.

1Peter 5:6-9, James 4:7.

I ask again, what do we feed our children?

As we gather together be it yesterday, today or any other blessed day, may we fellowship, pray for and teach our roles in the society we live in.

Matthew 5:13-14,16

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

For a search for relevance can never be satisfied, it is like a hole, the more you dig into it, the deeper it becomes, yet it is more empty at each dig.

So the apostles says:

1 Timothy 6:6

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.

We must also remember that we all will give account!

May we please the Lord in all things, may we impact our society positively.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
