THE DEADLY DISTRACTION

Proverbs 7:24-27

So listen to me, my sons, and pay attention to my words.

Don’t let your hearts stray away toward her. Don’t wander down her wayward path.

For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.

Her house is the road to the grave. Her bedroom is the den of death.

It takes one who is on the path of success to face a distraction, for you must have been on a definite course for you to face a distraction!

The book of wisdom we looked at from scriptures talks of young men who walked by the house of an immoral woman.

Proverbs 7:6-9

While I was at the window of my house, looking through the curtain,

I saw some naive young men, and one in particular who lacked common sense.

He was crossing the street near the house of an immoral woman, strolling down the path by her house.

It was at twilight, in the evening, as deep darkness fell.

We could see that the young man had no business being in that place neither was he supposed to be idling about at night.

When there is no purpose defined, we give room for dangerous distractions. Listen, even when you have a purpose and you are walking towards it, distractions arise, so also challenges. Much terrible it is when there is no purpose, you have opened a wide door for every type of opinion and distraction.

Truly it is not a distraction, for you are open for every option.

So, we must not create a vacuum!

The same book of wisdom from scriptures says:

Proverbs 4:25-27

Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.

Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.

Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

What is your purpose, do you have goals, do you have instructions from the Lord?

What is your distraction, is it unhealthy competition, inordinate affection, pride, fear or even worries?

Know that many have passed through this distractions and they have overcome, you would too.

Don't loose focus, you will win.

Can anything distract us from our path to eternal life?

Never, we stay with the Lord for Christ has given us the victory.

We win.

He calls us blessed.

Love
