REJOICE THE LORD IS KING

Psalms 124:8

Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.


Rejoice, the Lord is King:

Your Lord and King adore!

Rejoice, give thanks and sing,

And triumph evermore.

Lift up your heart,

Lift up your voice!

Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!


That is a hymn authored by Charles Wesley in 1744.


What would have been our situation if Not that the Lord is on our side? The enemy would have really dealt with us:


Psalms 124:1-3

What if the Lord had not been on our side? 

Let all Israel repeat:

What if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us?

They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger.


Do you know how the enemies feel when they see us enjoy redemption and they cannot have a part in it.


Psalms 8:4,6,9

what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?

You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—

O  Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!


Why do you think the enemy walketh about seeking whom to devour?


Some become so conscious of the enemies' threats that they lose focus of the Almighty. No, we should be so conscious of the Almighty that the enemies threats will have no effect on us.


Isaiah 54:17

But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. 

You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. 

These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!


This verse tells us of God's promise to protect us from two venoms of the enemy - direct attack and accusation.


So we really should rejoice for the Lord is King. See the second verse of the hymn:


Jesus, the Savior, reigns,

The God of truth and love;

When He has purged our stains,

He took his seat above;

Lift up your heart,

Lift up your voice!

Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!


What Christ Jesus did for us was a great bewilderment to the enemies they can never get over it.


They cannot toss us here and there anymore for the victory Christ Jesus won for us is uncontestable.


Oh what joy for that the Lord is King over my life, it is victory all the way.


John 15:7,9

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.


So no matter what it seems, let nothing steal your joy. Rejoice, the Lord has you covered.


Whether in the midst of brethren, your family, in your closet, at work, in your neighborhood, in or out of your country - rejoice! 


For God loves you.


Philippians 4:4

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!


Glory to God forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
