GOD GAVE CHRIST CHARGE

John 17:2-3

For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.

And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

When we say we have faith, we mean that we believe in something and our belief causes us to take certain actions.

The action of our belief in God is to accept His salvation plan. For a way may seem okay to man but it does not lead to salvation:

Proverbs 14:12

There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.

The problem people have with those who walk with Christ is the claim that He is the only way:

Acts 4:11-12

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,

‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

However, they could not be many ways for then there will be confusion!

So, what is the extend of Christ's authority?

None, He is over all!

Philippians 2:10-11

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Matthew 28:18

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

Some say they refuse to be called sheep, as Christ used the analogy. They feel it is a derogatory term and that they should be the lion etc.

There people misinterpret literature. In the context there are only two comparing terms: "sheep" and "goat". You cannot leave the context, it is either you are a sheep or a goat. It is the character of humility and submissiveness that is being compared to rebellion, not one's personality or strength attributes.

So, it is one thing to understand that Christ is in charge and He is over all. It is another thing to accept.

However, whether you believe or not, it cannot change what is!

The question always comes - what is our benefit in all this?

Revelation 1:5-6

and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God his Father. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

Victory at the end of all things.

Then they ask, what of now, while we live on earth?

2 Corinthians 1:20

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

All of God's promises as revealed by the prophets are ours to claim in Christ Jesus.

That is an extension of what Christ told the religious leaders:

John 5:39-40

“You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!

Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.

So we see that Christ Jesus is in charge. It is wisdom to accept Him and trust in Him.

Will He force Himself on anyone? No.

Revelation 3:20

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

So let Christ take charge over your life. It is victory all the way.

You who have done this, do not fret at trials, it will quickly pass. You have victory as a default. Halleluyah

Glory to God in the highest.

He calls us blessed.

Love
