YOUR DOINGS ARE THE PROVE
James 2:14,18
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?
Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”
The prove of your belief is evident in what you do. We could go around claiming this or that, however it is your works that show us the true you.
So is everything that concerns us here on earth. There is power in what we say, however if we keep speaking but do not take action in the direction of our faith, the speaking remains in the atmosphere.
I could claim to have a heart of love, but it remains a claim until my actions of love towards another makes this claim active.
Listen:
James 2:14-18
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?
Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing,
and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”
You claim that you believe in Christ, yes, however what you do when challenges, temptation and persecution come defines the true state of your heart.
Listen again:
1 Corinthians 3:13-15
But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.
If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.
But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.
Even man after creation faced his test, to chose obedience or disobedience, he chose disobedience and that is why he fell.
When Christ came as the new man He also faced His temptation!
Listen, you are not what you say you are until you have been tested and found worthy.
Daniel 5:5-6,25,27
Suddenly, they saw the fingers of a human hand writing on the plaster wall of the king’s palace, near the lampstand. The king himself saw the hand as it wrote,
and his face turned pale with fright. His knees knocked together in fear and his legs gave way beneath him.
“This is the message that was written: mene, mene, tekel, and parsin.
Tekel means ‘weighed’—you have been weighed on the balances and have not measured up.
We bring children into the world and rejoice as parents, however, the job is to bring them up in the way of the Lord, that is when the true rejoicing is, when we see them flourish, having a good report.
Many young people cry out to the Lord for jobs, when their prayers are answered some forget their request and take the job for granted, cutting corners and not being faithful.
Many pray to become business owners or exceutive directors, however when they are now in this leadership positions they oppress or look down at those who work for or with them.
Politicians campaign with various promises, when eventually they get the privilege, most forget their promises, they go ahead to do evil.
We must match our speaking (prayer, promises, thoughts, belief) with the appropriate actions.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us.
May we be found worthy. May we not just speak but be branches that bear good fruits that abide.
Help us Good Lord.
He calls us blessed.
Love
