WHOLESOME LIVING

Titus 2:1b

promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.

What life do you live, what defines a person's character, lifestyle, beliefs and philosophy? Definitely it is what they have learnt either consciously or unconsciously.

So it is important what we teach and it is also important what we learn. We must have wholesome teaching.

I was asking my mother how easy is was for someone to have such a loud seemingly glorious time in the presence of the Lord and go right out to do the wrong thing?

How can you gather together with music, dancing, prayers, tongues and you go right back to your business to lie and defraud another?

This is because there is no wholesome teaching, which reflects in wholesome living.

It is not about how much noise you make, how much time you spend or how you inconvenience others with your noise (you are not prophets of Baal, by the way)

It is about how wholesome teaching transforms your life.

I don't give two cents about that wonderful crusade, those miracles you display, the big grammar or revelation you claim to reveal, IF the lives of the people remain the same.

Luke 19:2-3,5,8-10

There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich.

He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd.

When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”

Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, “I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!”

Jesus responded, “Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham.

For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”

You wonder why we have so many worship centres(or do I say churches) yet evil abound everywhere, more painfully named among the perpetuators are those who attend these churches. A number in authority who steal, cheat, syphon common wealth, break the laws and oppress the people, yet attend these same churches.

WHOLESOME teaching is a must and it must be reflected in each believer's life.

Is gone the days when a leader is concerned about how members of the fellowship live wholesome lives, more than how much they are making or bringing to church?

Is that soul precious or is it only their financial contribution that is important?

We must get these things right.

Are we thinking that this world will last forever? Even if you think the world will stay another millennium - Will you stay that long?

Do we really ask the right questions.

Some believers live as if this is the only life that is. Ah!!!

What you belief cannot negate what is - wake up.

Lord help me and all that have believed and will belief in You to live wholesome lives that we will keep giving You glory.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
