DON'T RUSH OFF

Galatians 1:12,16,23-24

I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ.

to reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles. When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being.

All they knew was that people were saying, “The one who used to persecute us is now preaching the very faith he tried to destroy!”

And they praised God because of me.

One lesson every matured believer has learned over the years would be "don't rush off".

Many a failures, errors and half-truths we have today is as a result of rush-offs. We get a revelation, we do Not spend ample time to study, listen, pray and understand before we rush off to implement, then we wonder why we fail, get tired or give up entirely.

So it is a very important instruction Paul gave to Timothy and also to all believers:

2 Timothy 2:15

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.

Christ gave us a parable (some say they won't listen to Paul they want to hear from Christ directly - a childish sentiment still born out of ignorance though):

Luke 14:28-30

“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?

Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you.

They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’

Christ is also saying -"don't rush off".

It is not just about starting, it is about the process and also finishing well.

The wise man said:

Ecclesiastes 7:8

Finishing is better than starting.

    Patience is better than pride.

Listen, it is a walk with God, it is stage after stage, just like growing up with a loving father.

That is why I worry when people run from this mountain to another from one purported man of God to another, one crusade to another, one miracle centre to another - HELLO! When will you have time to grow with your Heavenly Father???

The Lord has giving many (men and women) as a gift to every generation the purpose is for the edification of the church not to take His place. Selah

Listen: You are also a gift to your generation. Wake Up!

Don't rush off, grow establish fellowship with your Heavenly Father, Christ has made it possible, only Him could - the fullness of the God-head bodily:

John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Listen, no human or spirit, be they prophet, angel, dead or alive can take this place, it is Christ alone.

Focus,

Listen again, on that day all these people that you are erroneously putting in Christ's place will not be there, they also will line up to give their own account, yes, the apostles, Mary, the prophets even the patriarchs (great or small) all.

Listen to Jesus:

John 8:56

Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad.”

Philippians 2:10-11

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Revelation 1:5,7-8

and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven.

And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him.

And all the nations of the world will mourn for him.

Yes! Amen!

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Do you know that you will judge angels, yet some worship angels?

1 Corinthians 6:2-3

Don’t you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can’t you decide even these little things among yourselves?

Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life.

You canNot just "rush off" when it comes to the Heavenly Father. No, be patient, understand, believe, become and then do.

Ephesians 4:12-16

Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Don't "rush off".

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
