AVAILABLE TO ALL, RECEIVED BY SOME

John 1:16

From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.

Can we be reminded this morning that God's grace and mercy is for everyone, yes everyone. However, it is one thing for a declaration to be made for a scholarship to be available for all students in a community it is another for each individual student to apply.

This is the situation of the world.

1. Those who have not heard at all, or have not heard properly.

Romans 10:13,15

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

2. Those who have heard but have not believed, or prefer to take another option.

Romans 10:13,16

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, “Lord, who has believed our message?”

3. Those who have heard believed or not believed but decide to do nothing about it, scared to do something about it or have decided to stick with something else because of fear of people or an authority.

Romans 10:13,21

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

But regarding Israel, God said,

“All day long I opened my arms to them, but they were disobedient and rebellious.”

So, it is open arms, it is a free entry but as easy at it is some will yet not get it because of unbelief.

Unbelief can go more than thinking to action for the opposite of unbelief is faith, they are both ACTION words!

The same way the prosperity of man is open to all, no human was created Not to prosper, we were all created to prosper by default.

Genesis 1:27-28,31

So God created human beings in his own image.

In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.

So when someone says, "you will not prosper", or this or that evil is coming on you, do not receive it. No. The pain you are allowed to go through is persecution for your faith and even in that, Christ says He has won the victory for You.

Matthew 5:11-12

“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.

Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

So, always remember who has the final say, don't rush to be directed by the wrong person or motivation. Don't ignore the Holy Spirit, only to run back, crying to Him when you get into trouble. It is wise to follow His leading from day one.

God has made all things ready for us concerning secular, spiritual, health and even eternal things, we must choose wisely.

We will be at the feast He has invited us to and also with the right clothing: Matthew 22:1-14.

So help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
