IT WILL BE ALRIGHT

Psalms 9:1-2

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.

I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.

We know that it may not be all rosy as we move on in life, there are times we face challenges or difficulties, it is part of the journey. Christ even told His disciples:

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

What will bring about the sorrows? They will come because you want to do a good work but evil forces will oppose it.

The same thing with our health, finances, businesses, family, and all endeavours we are committed to. The good work we want to do will meet the opposition of the evil that counters it, then there is contest and the good must always emerge the winner.

So, we cannot utterly get discouraged because we meet a challenge, we must face it and overcome.

One great lesson we learn from David is the power of testimony.

1 Samuel 17:32-37

“Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!”

“Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.”

But David persisted. “I have been taking care of my father’s sheep and goats,” he said. “When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock,

I go after it with a club and rescue the lamb from its mouth. If the animal turns on me, I catch it by the jaw and club it to death.

I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for he has defied the armies of the living God!

The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!”Saul finally consented. “All right, go ahead,” he said. “And may the Lord be with you!”

Listen the first testimony of the believer is the victory of Christ Jesus

. . .But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

That is why we read that at the end of all things this is recorded about the believer:

Revelation 12:11a

And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.

I have talked in one of my writings about the killer of testimonies, the enemies tries to kill the testimony to ensure that you do not have faith to go on. He will not succeed. Listen, even today powers have arisen to destroy the testimony of Christ Jesus, some have tried to convince people that they believe in Him so that they can set Him aside and yet accomplish their aim, don't be fooled. You are either for Him or against Him.

See what Christ said:

Matthew 12:30

“Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

Don't be deceived!

So brethren it will be alright, that sickness will go away, that challenge will be surmounted, you will make it in that business, you will finish well. Just keep on praying. (Also understand when the Lord says let go and take this other direction)

I love the way the Commissioned sang this popular quote in their song "back in the saddle":

"You remember, never give in

Look up to God he is your help

Oh, he knows your weakness and he'll provide a way of escape

Just keep on praying for you'll find

Quitters never win

Winners don't give in

You just wait on him, you will find

Promises are true

What he says he'll do"

It will be alright, yes it will.

Romans 8:37

No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Rejoice, it will be alright.

He calls us blessed.

Love
