IN THE MIDST OF IT ALL

Psalms 93:1-4

The Lord is king! He is robed in majesty.

Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength.

The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.

Your throne, O Lord, has stood from time immemorial.

You yourself are from the everlasting past.

The floods have risen up, O Lord.

The floods have roared like thunder; the floods have lifted their pounding waves.

But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore— the Lord above is mightier than these!

Nothing happening in the world today is strong enough to shake the Heavenly Father, truly none is actually new, it has happened in time past.

Is it natural disasters, recession, wars, moral decadence, false prophets, teachers, corrupt politicians, etc?

In the midst of it all you are only important when you are alive, but with the Heavenly Father you are more important than living for the  now, He also has in mind your eternity. This, many may never think about maybe because of fear or an intentional denial of the unknown, but the truth remains that at a certain time we will all leave the scene. So it is important to know that the Lord takes care of us now and in eternity.

See what Jesus says:

John 14:3

When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

Those who think deep, the skeptic and the philosophers ask why it has been this long? Peter answers:

2 Peter 3:7-10

And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.

But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

However, humans will still think of the present time, because it seems it is all they have.

A mere 80 to 120 years!

1 Corinthians 15:19

And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.

Glory to God, it is more than that, hear what Christ promised.

Luke 18:30

will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.”

Yes we are assured of eternity, that is life after here that has no end.

What of while we are here?

There are tons and tons of promises for us that are fulfilled in our earthly life here. The prophets spoke so much about them, the Psalms and even the books of the law by Moses holds tons of them. Let us look at a few of them:

Deuteronomy 28:6

Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.

Deuteronomy 28:13b

the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.

Psalms 1:3

They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.

Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Some ask why these promises are not fulfilled in their lives? One reason is that most of these promises come with conditions!

For the believer remember that all of God's promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus:

2 Corinthians 1:20

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

So no matter what the world is saying, you must tune to what the Heavenly Father is saying concerning you. No situation can ruffle Him, He is God!

Jeremiah 32:27

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?

So don't stop praying, praising, fasting, studying the word, but instead ensure that you practice the evidence of Christ in you as you interact with others in your daily life. The Heavenly Father has you covered, remember He made you a bonafide member of His family in His Son Jesus the Christ.

In the midst of it all, you will conquer, you have victory and you prosper.

Glory to God in the highest.

He calls us blessed.

Love
