HOW THE LORD HAS HELPED US
Psalm 107:8
Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!
I once asked a colleague, "What will it have been like if we were born at the time of the law?". For before Christ was revealed man was in bondage, God was not yet revealed to man, sin reigned and many were entrapped in the bondage of idol worship.
The revelation of Christ was salvation to man, the heavens rejoiced even though man had no clue what was going on, the prophecies were there but just as man still is today, they were not conscious of it.
Matthew 2:3-5
King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem.
He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?”
“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote:
They had the prophesy but missed the salvation. The same way many have the revelation of Christ and His second return but are carried away by religion and other world activities without insuring their eternity.
So, Christ was revealed to set man free from the bondage of the law.
Numbers 6:12,21
The days of their vow that were completed before their defilement no longer count. They must rededicate themselves to the Lord as a Nazirite for the full term of their vow, and each must bring a one-year-old male lamb for a guilt offering.
“This is the ritual law of the Nazirites, who vow to bring these offerings to the lord. They may also bring additional offerings if they can afford it. And they must be careful to do whatever they vowed when they set themselves apart as Nazirites.”
The criteria to be clean was really tasking, vows were made to separate oneself to the Lord, when you go through the book of Numbers you see the stern requirements.
When Christ was revealed He said:
Matthew 5:34-37
But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne.
And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King.
Do not even say, ‘By my head!’ for you can’t turn one hair white or black.
Just say a simple, ‘Yes, I will,’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from the evil one.
Liberty! Christ empowered us to live the nature of God, - the nature of love. He cleansed us and gave us access that we can come boldly into God's presence, not just for a while but continuously.
He fulfilled the prophesy:
Luke 4:18-19,21
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”
Then he began to speak to them. “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!”
Glory to God.
So,
Hebrews 4:16
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
God has already brought salvation to all people and He did it in His Son Jesus Christ, the very revelation of Himself. Yet many are still trapped in bondage through, religion, idolism, atheism and many other distractions.
May we who have been set free never go into bondage again.
May those who have sincere hearts but are trapped in bondage be released this season.
May we be the voice through whom the Heavenly Father by His Spirit reveals His liberty to the whole world.
Listen, God has done this great salvation for us, what is that thing you think He cannot take care of - Nothing!
Wait on Him.
Thank You Father, for truly You have helped us.
He calls us blessed.
Love
