HE IS LORD
John 9:35-38
When Jesus heard what had happened, he found the man and asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
The man answered, “Who is he, sir? I want to believe in him.”
“You have seen him,” Jesus said, “and he is speaking to you!”
“Yes, Lord, I believe!” the man said. And he worshiped Jesus.
So many have heard about the Messiah, Christ who died to take away the sins of the world. The question is what have we done with Him?
The Jews to whom He first came ended up crucifying Him for they were the ones who brought Him to the judgment and also cried out His execution "crucify Him!".
It is one thing to say that you believe in Christ or that you even know Him as Lord. The question still remains, what have you done with that knowledge?
The religious folks like those in the time when Christ walked the earth as a human spent their whole time seeking faults in Him and how to kill Him, they saw but they could not benefit from the salvation that came to them on a platter of gold.
Today, those who are outside the light are still burdened with the same burden of unbelieve for some just believe He was a prophet, however what did Christ say about Himself?
He is the Son of God!
Matthew 16:16-17
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.
John 10:29-30
for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.
The Father and I are one.”
The truth is that no one had ever seen the Heavenly Father, thus all were glad to just worship from a distance, an "unknown God", thus humans could claim anything and attribute it to God.
Some could say I received this message from God, I got this instructions from God, they could be put into a book and hold people in bondage with it, in the name of religion.
But God Himself wanted to be with man, that is how He created man, that man would continually fellowship with Him, so He had to come down Himself:
Genesis 3:8
When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.
So it was sin that stopped man from fellowshipping with the Heavenly Father at creation. Through the times of the prophets sacrifices was made again and again for this same issue of sin! Humans stood as a stumbling block to others from true fellowship claiming one authority or the other.
When Christ was revealed all these came to an end, so He said:
John 19:30
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.
This liberty, this restoration of man to have true fellowship with the Heavenly Father is what angered the supposed custodians of the law and is still the problem of religious leaders today, they just don't want the people to be free.
John 4:21,23-26
Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.
But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.
For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
Then Jesus told her, “i am the Messiah!”
The Messiah, Christ is God revealed to the whole world, that is why we worship Him and the Father commanded all to worship Him
Hebrews 1:6
And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said,
“Let all of God’s angels worship him.”
For when God talked of Christ He said:
Hebrews 1:8
But to the Son he says,
“Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.
So the question is whose testimony will you accept? That of God and Christ Himself or what religion says.
You are yet to know Christ till you know Him as Lord.
Is He Lord over You.
Matthew 28:18
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.
No one else comes close.
Revelation 3:20-21
“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
Jesus is Lord.
He calls us blessed.
