SAFE IN HIS "HAVEN"

Psalm 91:1-2

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

When God made man in the beginning, He placed man in a safe haven, where all things had been pre-prepared for him to increase multiply and fill the whole earth. (I believe God still had a lot planned out for man). However, there was an enemy!

This enemy had no power over man but because of his craftiness, he knew that the only way he could get to man was to play with his mind and by doing that he could cause him to disobey God. To perfect this plot he came through man's weak side - the woman:

Genesis 3:1

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

(The enemy still toils with minds today)

Many have asked questions about that incidence, some have erroneously taken it literally, however we know that the enemy found a way to play on man's mind and cause him to sin against God.

This led to the fall, man was expelled from the already prepared haven to go sweat it out in the yet unprepared part of the earth.

This is the genesis of human struggles, man allowed himself to be exposed to sin, the battle of choosing between good and evil, and almost all the time man fell for evil.

Note that season after season there were some who kept faith in the midst of the population of sinners, God worked through them.

Yet in all of these God's plan was still to come to pass, man would still fulfill the essence of his creation. To be God's image, not just that, but be family ruling over portions on earth and in heaven.

For this reason Christ came from God. Not created or spoken to be, as people think or try to convince people, but from God's very bosom:

John 1:18

No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

John 1:18

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

The coming of Christ was really a frustration to the powers that caused havoc on earth, they knew that they had been condemned but they did not understand why the Son was here on earth as a man.

Matthew 8:28-29

When Jesus arrived on the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gadarenes, two men who were possessed by demons met him. They lived in a cemetery and were so violent that no one could go through that area.

They began screaming at him, “Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?”

They didn't know the plan - Christ was here to give us back our authority and position, to make us family that we may have our haven even in a greater way.

Thus the plan was to eliminate the Son, since He now carried physical flesh.

But they were actually working out God's plan:

1 Corinthians 2:7-8

No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began.

But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord.

So man was redeemed from the condemnation he received from the fall as a result of the enemy's craftiness. Glory to God.

When you are in Christ every power and authority is under you because Yeshua "Jesus the Christ" had already paid the price for you and God has made Him above all things.

Ephesians 1:17-23

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

This is the haven that we have a refuge, a protection that is above every power and every other authority.

Philippians 2:10

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

2Thessalonians 1:12

that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is why I am totally against any man, sect, religion or power trying to put man in bondage again, the same old trick of the enemy to take man's attention from the Heavenly Father revealed through His Son to themselves, a religion, laws, elementals or any what nots.

This is what we ought to do:

Hebrews 12:2a

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

So when we read Psalm 91, we understand that our safe heaven is in Christ Jesus and the enemy has no power over us unless we give him room as they erroneously did in the beginning.

Therefore arise today in confidence know who you are in Jesus, unless you are yet to be born again. Then what are you waiting for? He has been knocking on the door of you heart, open to Him.

Revelation 3:20

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

If you have received Him do not be coward by the powers and forces that be; ARISE and live in the authority he has given you. Pray with certainty, live in conviction and act in love.

1John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Do fellowship with others, stay in the word, worship, never let yourself get cold or complacent. (So many distractions out there even in some so called churches)

You are safe in Christ Jesus.

Enjoy your haven!

He calls us blessed.

Love
