IT IS UP TO YOU

In this life it is true that everyone needs a leader, one who he or she accounts to, one to look up to for direction, correction and even mentorship.


Be it in business, career, job, spiritual inclination or family.

That is why we have pastors, mentors and advisers.

1Thessalonians 5:12
 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,

Hebrews 13:17
Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

It is quite easy for us to think then that because they stand in for us and account for us, we will not account for ourselves.

Romans 14:12
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

No matter the pastors, priests, leaders or teachers we heap on ourselves. We need to be reminded that . . .

1. We do not have an advocate in a human or spirit that will stand as our advocate on the day of judgement.

 2. The decision of what and where we will be, rests on us individually.

Deuteronomy 30:19
 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live

So no matter what happens we must - stay in close fellowship and friendship with Jesus the Christ who will be the judge of the whole earth, He is the Father personified and the Holy Spirit living in us today.

2Timothy 4:1
charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:

Acts 17:31
 "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."

Luke 21:36
"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

So as our leaders in the spirit watch over us and pray for us, they cannot stand for us on the day of judgement.

They have to stand for themselves remember! selah

So why not get familiar with Him who we will account to. That's wisdom. He is not far, He is with us if  we are born again. Talk to Him, let Him guide, let Him lead, let Him use.

Then there is no way He will deny us  at the end of the days.

Stay in tune: read the bible
Stay in the Spirit: pray, worship and fast
Stay in Love: spread the good news

We need to guard our soul, yielding to Him alone.

May the reply we get at the end of time be:

"Come in good and faithful servant"

May we finish well.

He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
