IT IS GOOD TO GIVE PRAISE TO THE LORD

Psalms 92:1-2

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.

It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your  faithfulness in the evening,

Listen, everyone who has thought that they could go on without the Lord, would not remain with the same mentality when the face crises. For no matter how powerful any human think they are, they can be brought low by a singular event and worse still, they will yet pass away!

Psalms 90:3,5-6

You turn people back to dust, saying,

“Return to dust, you mortals!”

You sweep people away like dreams that disappear.

They are like grass that springs up in the morning.

In the morning it blooms and flourishes, but by evening it is dry and withered.

We take our life so seriously till we see someone pass away then we understand that we have limited time on this earth and when we have fulfilled time, we will yet give account.

Psalms 90:12

Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.

All that claim to have come either in their name or in the name of any deity, promised the people that followed them one thing or the other. However, they themselves had no assurance of where they were going or what their eternity will be, it is humans here that exalt them and make declarations concerning them (for man by default wants to worship). However the heavens do not recognize them.

However, listen to the Son of God, Yeshua Hamashiac, the Messiah, yes the Christ, He said:

John 11:25

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.

Do you understand this?

As clear as it is, do we know the implication of this? Rejecting Christ is rejecting eternal life.

God revealed Himself to us through His Son starting from the Jews, through whose nation Christ was brought forth into the earth, then to the whole world.

If only we can appreciate what really happened, for man was cut off from God, but Christ has brought us back to Him.

Matthew 11:25-30

At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.

Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!

“My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

What an exchange. That is what the prophet prophesied:

Isaiah 61:3

To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes,

a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.

In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.

David also saw it when he was delivered from persecution and he was alive to dedicate his house:

Psalms 30:11-12

You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.

You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,

that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O  Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

If our eyes are opened to see what the Lord has done for us, His praises will never cease from our mouth.

We are not just a passing phase, a grass that will wither away but we are blessed of the Lord made to flourish both here and in time to come.

So why will we not praise the Lord continually, why will we not sing His praise?

Psalms 103:1-2

Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.

Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.

You will yet see more of God's goodness.

Praise the Lord!

He calls us blessed.

Love
