ARE YOU A GOOD INVESTMENT?

Matthew 25:16,20-21,29

“The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more.

The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, ‘Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.’

“The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’

To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.

John 15:8

When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

A story is told of a man who invested in a bank the first year, he lost almost all of his investment, the bank asked for more the next year, he re-invested and still again he neither regained his investment nor made any profit.
Should he re-invest the next year?

John 15:2
"Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Every one's work will be tested to determine its value

1Corinthians 3:13
each one's work will become manifest; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is.

Are we too busy taking account of what we have not received, are we just waiting on things we want God to do for us?

Yes He will do them, He loves us asking Him.

John 16:24
"Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

However, have we taken stock of what we have already received and considered if we are worth the investment?

What have you done with what you have been blessed with already?

* The salvation
* the talents;
* the money/wealth;
* the sound mind;
* your children;
* your time;
* your spouse;
* your parents;
* your job;
* the word of God you have been taught;
* your position;
* your influence;
* your spiritual gifts;

and the list goes on.

Remember . . .

Luke 12:48b
For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

You who have been trusted with leadership, what is your testimony?

Let us take stock, and do our accounting.

Are we a good investment?

When we answer this question sincerely by His Spirit we can make proper amendment.

I see us being a worthy and a profitable investment. The Lord will declare us profitable.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
