THE PATHWAY

John 3:3,5,7

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’

A man was curious about the events that were happening in his time, he was not a novice he was a scholar, a religious leader, a pharisee. He knew what the prophets had said about the Messiah and God's salvation plan. He couldn't help himself, he wanted to hear from the "horse's mouth", yet he had to be cautious because of his colleagues, they must not see that he had joined the believers.

So he went to see him at night.

John 3:1-2

There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee.

After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”

This singular act of his brought about the revelation of what salvation was all about.

This is how the gospels are, Christ answers to questions stands as instructions to us today. (This is why I get pissed off with spiritual leaders who feel that asking them questions or demanding accountability is demeaning to them, stop, they do not know what they are doing!)

Many a scholar in different religions know the truth about God's salvation plan, for if you study real deep you will really get to this truth:

Acts 4:11-12

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 

‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

However many of them, are afraid of what their colleagues will say, I know of one who wanted his children to follow this true path, he said he knew he missed it and cannot now return but at least let his children follow the right path.

So what is this path?

John 3:3

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

And Nicodemus's question to this was natural:

John 3:4

“What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”

That brought about more explanation from Christ.

For we all came into this world from natural birth, thus we are all one in Adam, the first created human. However Adam fell because of sin (disobedience) and thus he died. We all also are spiritually dead because we are of Adam's seed.

Paul explained it clearer by the Spirit:

Romans 5:12

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.

So every, is born a sinner because of the original sin of Adam, remember what God told him:

Genesis 2:17

except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Thus the need for the new birth, a birth not according to Adam which was according to the flesh but one which is of the Spirit:

John 3:5

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

As Jesus explained, that which is born of the flesh is flesh but that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.

John 3:6

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.

The first born in this leanage is Christ himself:

Matthew 1:18,22-23,25

This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:

“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, 

and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”

But he did not have sexual relations with her until her son was born. And Joseph named him Jesus.

Isaiah prophesied it:

Isaiah 7:14

All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

This is the new lineage by the Spirit by which anyone will inherit eternal life. Glory to God.

Listen, man was not living in heaven, he was living on earth, this was his jurisdiction. Selah

So Jesus explained further:

John 3:7-12

So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’

The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

“How are these things possible?” Nicodemus asked.

Jesus replied, “You are a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don’t understand these things?

I assure you, we tell you what we know and have seen, and yet you won’t believe our testimony.

But if you don’t believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things?

He then tells him the truth to refute all the myths they had held onto concerning heaven:

John 3:13,15

No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man has come down from heaven.

so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.

Glory to God.

Salvation is faith in the Son of God, Jesus the Christ.

We believe and come to Him, He then gives us the new birth by God's Spirit, the visa into God's kingdom, then seals us with the same Spirit, which is the mark and visa entry into eternal life with the Heavenly Father.

Ephesians 1:13

And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.

This is the true pathway, actually the only pathway to have eternal life with Heavenly Father forever.

And we must know and tell others until the whole world knows and those who are willing COME.
