THE SIMPLE DIFFERENCE

1 John 3:7-8

Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous.

But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.

It is that simple!

Sinners sin, while the righteous do not keep sinning.

Sin is evil, while righteousness is good and acceptable!

This simple difference between those who do evil and those who obey God is the crux of the matter, for in trying to explain why it isn't so is where we lose it.

Genesis 3:1

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

I love this song from Casting Crowns titled "slow fade" ( do listen to the entire song)

The chorus goes thus:

"It's a slow fade when you give yourself away

It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray

Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid

When you give yourself away

People never crumble in a day"

Part of the body of the song also goes thus:

"The journey from your mind to your hands

Is shorter than you're thinking

Be careful if you think you stand

You just might be sinking"

This whole right-up could as well be summarized by this song, for our open verse says "little children", the lyrics also says:

"Be careful little eyes what you see

It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings

Be careful little feet where you go

For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow"

We live in times when little children have become so corrupted that they now do in the open what older ones would have been ashamed of doing in the dark. The abomination is being revealed.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.

For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.

They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.

They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.

They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

It all begins when we make what is so simple complex!

Evil is evil and good is good. Simple!

"Little children" as John wrote; this foundation must be set right from the onset. The child of God walk in the path of righteousness, it is that simple.

From the beginning of scriptures to the end, the message is clear, whether it is from the beginning when man was created, the first family where we had Cain and Abel, or before the earth was destroyed with food, or when Abram was revealed as a man of faith, to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, to the revelation of Israel, even for all the nations apart from Israel, through the times of the major and minor prophets, till the revelation of Christ on earth, and also to the ministry of his disciples - the message has been the same. Those who are of God walk in righteousness!

1 John 1:5

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

Hello parents, hello elders, hello bishops, pastors, ministers or whatever leader you are here or there. It is simple:

"The righteous do righteous things, while the sinners keep on sinning"

Then scriptures record:

1 John 3:8

But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.

Deliverance should come to our land, let God's people arise and stand for the simple truth, our young generation should not be wasted, it is time to correct the abnormally, discipline (in love) must be reinstalled. Sin must not have preheminence.

It is not the duty of children to seek for money, fame or power, let them be children, to be loved, cared for, disciplined. Let them learn morals, get good education let them be subject to authority, let them learn to do all house chores, clean themselves and their environment, let them learn to be good, strong and wise. Let them hold onto righteousness from childhood. PARENTS and TEACHERS wake up!

Deuteronomy 11:19 

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Wake up !

And to all believers no matter the title you claim, or you are called:

1 John 3:9-10

Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.

So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.

Lord have mercy, wake us up from our slumber.

Righteousness will exalt our nation, we will stop playing church and religion and begin to live by the Spirit. We will not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
