GOD IS LOVE

1 John 4:7-8

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.


But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.


There is so much use of love on our air waves, most of it being abused, others are false representations, very rarely do we hear of real love.


The greatest of all is the one of Him who is above all things and from whom all things have their origin. He Himself is love. The true definition of love.


He is the one who made us, "human" come to existence. He is the Heavenly Father, God the Almighty.


1John 4:8

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.


God is love! but His love is not an abstract one, His love made Him sacrifice His Son for us, that His blood will cleanse us from all sin, and then grant us the right to be children of God. (Remember, love is expressed)


1John 4:9

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.


There is no greater love than this.


God loves us, and in return what does He expect from us?


Simple -  to love Him also.


He even commanded it.


Deuteronomy 6:5

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.


Psalm 31:23

Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person.


Mathew 22:37

Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'


What does it mean to love God?


1John 5:3

 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.


God's command to us in the New Testament is simple.


1John 3:23

And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.


So friends, you love God if:


1. You believe in His Son Jesus who He sacrificed for you.


2. You love others who God has put around you.


The prove of our believe in His Son is when we share His testimony with others and live as an example.


2Corinthians 5:20

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.


Our love for others is also shown in our desire to see them escape the destruction of hell. To ensure that they enjoy eternity with Jesus the Christ. Do we begin to talk of whether one believes in hell or not, hmm, the scriptures prove it, however what do you lose? Selah


He loved us then gave His life, we also love Him and give our life.


Listen, what do you have when you don't have love - hate. Now, what do you gain from hate - self destruction. For you burn inside with hate and you don't have peace even when you translate the hate to it's fruit which is murder. Listen a murderer has no place in God's kingdom. Ask Cain, a murderer is not safe anywhere they run and hide for they have already been marked for death. Sleep eludes them.


Let us not be deceived we were made for light, for love, we were made for God.


Listen, the glory of God covered Adam and Eve till they ate the fruit of disobedience, then they became uncovered - NAKED. Selah


You gain all by walking in God's love. You lose all by going contrary.


Our daily declaration should include:


"FATHER I LOVE YOU AND TODAY I WILL SHOW IT"


May God's love reflect through us


Jude 1:21

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
