WALK IN HIS PATH

1 Peter 3:10-12

For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.

Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers.

But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.”

You cannot walk in the ways that oppose God's precepts and expect to be covered by Him.

It is that simple, for why would you walk in disobedience and expect the fruit of obedience, it doesn't work that way.

Psalms 1:1-2,6

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.

For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

We must not be decieved when it seems those who do evil prosper, they don't, all is not always what it seems and also time will tell, for the end is always better than the beginning.

Asaph recorded this song:

Psalms 73:3-5,12-13,17-19

For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness.

They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong.

They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else.

Look at these wicked people— enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.

Did I keep my heart pure for nothing? Did I keep myself innocent for no reason?

Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked.

Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.

In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors.

I love the way he said, " ...then I went into your santuary ...".

It takes being in God's presence to really see the world the way it is, every believer must remain in His presence that we may not be carried away by the mirage of the world.

I love Christ's question:

Mark 8:36-37

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

Is anything worth more than your soul?

As we go on to prosper this year, may we never forget who we are and of whom we are. We have our path and our discipline, may we not be decieved into that which is not ours for our way leads to prosperity and not destruction.

If there is anyone to please this year, it is the Heavenly Father.

So help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
