SHINE TO QUENCH DARKNESS
John 1:4-5
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
In this world there are dark things that exists, we met them when we came into the world. Will they be finally blotted out? Yes, when the Lord brings an end to all things.
So what do we do since we have to live here and fulfil purpose. We shine! How? We shine by reflecting the Light. Who is the Light? Christ Jesus.
The call was for everyone to come under the cover of the Almighty, the same way Noah was asked to build the ark to protect anyone who believe and came in from the flood. Christ is that ark that shields us from the darkness of this world.
Luke 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”
So can we remove the darkness? No. Can we displace it? Yes
We must then be conscious of our spirit, it must always be lighted up, filled with joy. Never allow anything or anyone replace your light with any form of darkness.
John 16:33
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Don't be overcome by darkness, keep your light shining, for darkness can never overcome light.
Glory to God.
One of the great advantage of light is illumination, you get to see where you are going, that is what God's Spirit does to those who are His. Illuminating our part that we do not walk in darkness:
John 8:12
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
The Heavenly Father is the initiator of light, we His children inherit this light, we will never walk in darkness for we are in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
Glory to God forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
