LEANING ON HIM FOR STRENGTH
Proverbs 3:7-8
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.
Many who ignore the Lord later find themselves seeking for Him in time of troubles. So many who have stubbornly resisted the gospel end up submitting in a difficult situation, such as being on the sick bed with no hope.
We are not like that, we submit even when we have not seen, for our believe is of faith. We begin by faith, get to know him in faith and continue in faith.
Hebrews 11:6
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Just like a child accepts it's father, not knowing whether he is good or bad, if he is strong or weak, neither knowing whether there is love or not. No wonder Jesus said:
Mark 10:15
I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
So we who have believed must lean on Him, we cannot overburden Him, for our request cannot be too much. It is like an open cheque from a man who has endless supply of money, He is not afraid to give you liberty to ask.
Matthew 7:7-8
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
As we go on this year let us remind ourselves of His promise:
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
Glory to God.
He calls us blessed.
