Hebrews 2:18


Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

The beauty of the salvation we have in Christ Jesus is that it is not abstract, He has experienced first hand what we experience. So He is not like an outsider who points at us from afar, NO, he dwelt among us, ate as we ate, felt as we feel and endured what we endure.

John 1:14
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

What audacity will a man who has never known an ailment have to console one who is going through it, saying he knows? 

Is it hunger? He went through it. 

Is it pain? He went through it. 

Is it hate? He went through it. 

Is it temptation? He went through it. 

Is it abandonment? He went through it. 

We may NOT be able to list it all, Christ Jesus went through it all for us. 

Did He have to? No, yet He did. 

John 10:18
No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”

So, He has all right on earth and by this He beat the enemy hands down. For the enemy won man in the flesh and man in the flesh overcame Him.

What really do we have to lose by believing and staying faithful? (philosophers, think on it), however what do we have to lose if we do NOT believe and stay in faithfulness? - eternal regret and pain. 

John 3:18
“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

He knows every difficulty we have or may go through, this qualified Him as our only High Priest. 

Hebrews 2:17-18
Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.

Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

We must never take this for granted. 

People try to cover things by trying to say Ah, God is not wicked. No, we must not get it wrong, discipline and punishment are not attributes of the wicked, they are statutory. 

See if there is any form of mercy, that is the Heavenly Father Himself, we know mercy from Him. There is no excuse. 

We quote the Psalms again and again and it is true:

Psalms 23:6
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Luke 1:50
He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him.

Romans 11:32 
For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Ephesians 2:4
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much,

We cannot afford to doubt His love neither His mercy. 

He left glory to live on earth that we corrupted, that we may share glory with Him. What great love!

Thank You Dear Lord, for You really know how I feel, You have experienced it, thus You help me. Glory to You Lord forever.

He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
