AS WE GATHER

Ephesians 1:10

And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.

We should always have it in mind that all things will end, and when it does, we go to a better place without all the troubles and pains we face now.

As we join other believers to worship, pray and study God's word, let us remember the reason we gather. The originator of our union. Christ Jesus. He promised that He prepares a place for us, that we might be with Him forever. Oh what great joy.

John 14:3

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

Whatever it is that would want to take away His dominance must be resisted, it must be all about Him. Thus even as we overlook the shortcomings of man, we never condone sin, filth or laziness, but encourage God's love, faithfulness and accountability.

As we worship let it be about Him, let it be love He showed to us.

1Timothy 3:15

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Remember that all things will still come under Christ.

We therefore put our trust in Him. He is the one that will keep us to the end.

Jude 1:24-25

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

To the only wise God our Saviour, [be] glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

He calls us blessed.
