SUBMITTING TO GOD
James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Luke 6:46
"But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?
It is one thing to know what God desires from us and another to actually do them. There is the written will from His word, His will spoken to you as a person and His will spoken to you as a family.
Hello, some depend on another to know God's will, spiritual leadership is very important but be careful that you do not replace God with any man or being. Hmm it is dangerous. Don't make it hard on those who lead you.
If we are of God, our life must show it, by the daily obedience to His Word.
The only way to know His word is by studying them, then the Holy Spirit keeps reminding us of them.
John 14:26
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
We should remember that whom we obey is who is Lord over us. The truth is that we must obey someone. I was listening to a sound track in a movie "the ultimate gift" and the lyrics said,:
"You must serve someone it may be the Lord or the devil but you must serve someone".
This is absolutely true, atheist and naturalist believe that they serve no one, but that is a mirage. Man was created to serve someone, we are as a default, loyal to someone per time, either God or the devil, there is no vacuum.
Romans 6:16
Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness.
As we go on this year, may we do the check, "WHO IS IN CHARGE?".
Listen, God does not disturb us, really, He gave us liberty it is actually the devil that keeps us bound. Selah!
2Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.
Truly it is those you call master's, father's or spiritual leaders that actually put you in bondage, Christ doesn't. Selah
If you don't understand the above statement, then you don't understand the verse after this:
Mark 10:5
But Jesus responded, “He wrote this commandment only as a concession to your hard hearts.
See Christ says more:
Matthew 23:2-11
“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach.
They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.
“Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels.
And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues.
They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi.’
“Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.
And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father.
And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah.
The greatest among you must be a servant.
May we receive understanding.
May our lives reflect Jesus the Christ whom we obey.
Join me to declare:
I am in Christ, therefore my life will reflect Christ. In word, thought and deed.
So help us Good Lord.
It is well with you. Do have an awesome day.
He calls us blessed.
Love
