DO YOU HEAR HIM
John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
It is necessary that we hear when God speaks. Does God speak directly to us? Yes He does, how, by His Spirit, He speaks to our spirit.
The first clarity of the voice is to hear the origin of the word and it is in Christ Jesus:
Hebrews 1:1-2
Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.
And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.
So to have good hearing from the Lord you must be conversant with His Word. Selah
We live in a world that is full of noise. A lot of things coming in from every corner. Some are relevant, some are good, however others are distractions.
If we are to live in faith we should hear the voice of the Lord above all the noise.
Psalms 62:11
God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.
Samuel as a child had to learn to hear God's voice in the midst of voices.
1Samuel 3:10
And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
Jesus said His own will hear and thus they would follow Him, they would not follow another.
John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
So many things seek our attention.
* Some are very important
* Some are not that important
* Some are a mere distraction
As we go about our duties and roles, it is important to listen to the Father and He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit.
No wonder the character of the Holy Spirit is patience.
We must learn to patiently listen, because he would surely speak.
The love of God could seek our attention when we get so carried away or distracted, when we pay no attention or bother to listen to what He says.
Oh what pain, if we need crises to make God get our attention: It is never sweet.
Some stay deaf to God till it is too late, and they have to leave the scene.
Luke 12:20
"But God said to him, 'You fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?'
He was too busy acquiring wealth, he must have listened to the analysis, the forecasters, he may have had so many advisers, even spiritual contractors.
God could have been speaking but he wouldn't have heard, so much noise had taken over.
Funny enough when he had finally calmed down, he heard the voice but it was too late.
THIS IS NOT FOR US!
Remember that once a person leaves the scene he/she begins to see, a seeing that will either make one rejoice or to groan in regret. WE WILL REJOICE.
We will hear His voice even in the midst of all the noise around us. Be it good or bad, for we are the select (...ELECT), we are different.
There is no area of our life He does not care about, what He said is that we must seek His kingdom and it's righteousness first, for what does anything matter if your eternal insurance is not yet covered.
Matthew 6:33
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Our priorities are properly set, we will do His will.
And of course He will direct us to prosper and succeed.
Yes we will.
Have you read the word, have you worshipped, and have you prayed today?
Do so now!
He calls us blessed.
Love
@ the watcher.
