"Cheta" - Remember

Psalms 77:11

I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.

When a challenge or difficulty come our way, we tend to forget that we have had victory in previous battles, we may tend to forget He who did it previously could yet do it again.

It may be that we are exhausted or we feel that we ought to have a break from the spiritual living or relax on the trusting. Elijah felt the same way: a man who by his auction was able to get fire from heaven to soak up his over drenched sacrifice and defeat all the priests of baal, he was even able to hold the rain and recall it when it was time, yet he had to run into hiding because of an evil woman.

No wonder it was clear that it was time for him to hand over.

Psalms 40:1
 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

We cannot afford to forget the victories we have had. David when confronted with Goliath, that great Philistine giant, remembered that God had already given him victory over the lion and the bear. He understood that this would be another testimony.

We should go in the same might. Testifying of His goodness and the victories He has given us.

Revelation 12:11
 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death

Victory is ours, nothing is too strong, nothing too great "victoria acerta"

Convert your worries to rejoicing as you remember all the great things God has done for you.

Psalms 103:2-5
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

See child of God, apart from remembering the past also remember His promises for:

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

Hear it well:

2 Corinthians 1:22
[and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us.

Listen to one of the promises:

Matthew 7:11
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

See the whole of scriptures is embedded with promises and the greatest of them is already fulfilled:

Colossians 1:27
For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.

Then what is that thing that he cannot do for you?

Shout Halleluyah.

Give Him praise, worship Him. Victory is yours.

He calls us blessed.
