THE RIGHT RESPONSE

1 Corinthians 15:58

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

We can't always control things that happen, but we can control how we react to them.

Jesus said it is impossible for offences not to come but woe unto him through whom they come.

Matthew 18:7
"Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense come

Luke 17:1
Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come

Thus the believer must be strong, it is not the situation that matters but your response! Selah

So of course there will be hurts and pains "but you should not be the cause!"
If they come they shouldn't break you but make you.

John 16:33
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world

Romans 12:12
rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer

Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men

This is one reason to study the word to know what God has said about us, thus we counter every opposing suggestions of the enemy:

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.
We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

For instance, the Lord has said "  .  with long life I will satisfy you . . .", if the enemy is saying otherwise we counter with these scriptures!

The believer's response is what matters and what defines who he/she is and also the outcome of the situation.

Almost daily Christ was presented with questions, challenges and criticisms in His short years in ministry, yet He had the right answers/responses to them all.

We do to, because we have the Holy Spirit - Glory to God.

John 14:26
But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

So let's remember that our response is what matters, thus we must have the right response, so help us Good Lord.

Our reaction must be in line with God's thought for us, the thought of others will then not matter.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
