PLAN WITH GOD

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.

They will soar high on wings like eagles.

They will run and not grow weary.

They will walk and not faint.

The characteristic of the believer is trust in God.

Though there are things that work so directly and easily for us that we do not even bother to pray about them. This does not mean that we rely on ourselves, NO, it is the way the Lord designed things.

Remember that the Lord was not always with them at all times in the garden, He gave them free hand to do things and take decisions, for He had already instructed them.

Genesis 3:8

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.

I jokingly tell some people, "Do you ask the Lord permission to eat, to take your bath, etc? laughs"

However, there are things that seem not to come that easy and to receive them we get to pray and maybe pray more. I may not be able to explain why it is this way, however Jesus said:

John 16:23-24

At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name.

You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

Request, a part of prayer is emphasized by Christ, we are ever dependent on the Heavenly Father, yes some things are already settled by default, yet we must keep praying.

See, even when you think you have all you need, keep praying the prayer of thanksgiving.

One beautiful thing about waiting on the Lord is that He opens our eyes to see what we couldn't see because of our sentiment or enthusiasm.

Some could say, I have never prayed to God yet things work out well for me. I keep saying that man has already been blessed by default, some rules are already in play, eg, if you work you eat. This does not take God out of the picture but actually shows Him in, just as Jesus said:

Matthew 5:45

In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

So, it is wisdom to plan with the Lord, I also ask this, "if you do everything your way, what right do you have to call the Heavenly Father into the matter when you face a challenge? Hello, it was entirely your decision!"

So we see wisdom in the scripture:

Proverbs 3:5-7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.

Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

We plan, but we must never forget that if the Lord doesn't want it it will never come to pass:

Proverbs 19:21

You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.

Lamentations 3:37

Who can command things to happen without the Lord’s permission?

We will put our trust in the Lord.

So help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
