NEVER CEASE TO WORSHIP
1Chronicles 23:30
to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening;
Psalms 30:12
To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
The act of worship involves reverence.
Our every day lives should be to give reverence to God, no matter where we are: in school, workplace, at home, in the bus, in the car, in the airplane, everywhere.
Worship does not make you a nuisance, it is not about shouting here and there, with no heart to it, even prayer that Jesus teaches says that vain repetitions mean nothing for it is just a show off -
Matthew 6:7-8
“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.
Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!
Do we always worship God? Worship is attributed to a diety and is even synonymous to idolatry. Another synonym is idolatry. (according to the English dictionary).
We therefore should note that when we do not worship God, something else is worshipped.
Exodus 20:3
"You shall have no other gods before me"
Exodus 20:4
"You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
Revelation 19:10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Today some believers have become worshippers of mammon these even includes some pastors and ministers, some worship dead people, angels and other beings, some worship self and some worship other humans.
So you know that your lifestyle should be worship to the Heavenly Father, let us listen to Jesus again:
Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
Matthew 5:16 (KJV)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
One of the ways to know who you worship is to identify who you consider first when you take a decision, what you meditate on, what you spend time on and what your motivation is.
Take time to consider these, then you understand who or what truly you worship.
Today may we worship God in spirit and in truth.
John 4:24
"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
John 4:23
"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
As we continue in our daily work this month and beyond, may we remember to spend time in awesome worship.
Prayer: Lord I worship for who are, you are awesome, the Almighty, all glory be to you Father.
He calls us blessed.
Love
