MAN'S WRONG DESIRE

Psalms 14:1 

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.

Why would one want to take God out of the equation? One would wonder why anyone would say there is no God. Talk less of a believer. It is because of sin, they desire to do those things God would not approve of, to some, it is the desire to be in control 

The rebellious desire is to take God's place, to occupy His seat, to neglect His word.

Remember that man's condemnation is actually birthed in unbelieve:

John 3:18 

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

We could then further ask why would the Lord then say to a believer "I do not know you". 

The scripture has only one answer to this.

Psalms 14:2 

The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

 They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.

Let us look at the new testament.

Luke 13:27 

"But He will say, 'I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.'

1Corinthians 6:9 

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites

 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:21

 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Remember that the major fault of the enemy was His desire to be God.

Revelation 21:8

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

He did not want to be controlled by God's Spirit. He desired to explore and be in charge. 

The great nation America have been eaten up by these abominable acts even to the seat of power.

The need to be God has made man rebel against God. They who were founded on the foundation of God's word have sought other/strange things.

The very basic nature of God, "LOVE" has been replaced by other abominable things.

The bible says:

Colossians 3:12 

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering

but:

Mark 13:22

 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

May we never be deceived, may we remain faithful. May we never attempt to overthrow God. Instead may we be ambassadors for God.

Many have left the Lord because of the seeming prosperity while some have left because of the seemed hardship. In all your believe is not a function of the situation, it is who you are. Selah

So many look and see nations who seem to prosper, yet they seem not to recognize God. The truth is that God has made all things to prosper by default. If only we do the right things. This condition applies to all. However our eternity is only secured in Him. Selah
