MARY'S CHOICE

Luke 10:42

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

In a time when people who have been born by the Spirit still try to justify themselves via the flesh, we need to remind ourselves of the commendation that Mary the sister of Martha received from our Lord Jesus the Christ:

What a privilege we have to sit with Him who was meant to minister to multitudes. For few had the privilege of one-on-one fellowship with Him without the multitude.

Jesus spoke so much on the mount.  We thus have the "sermon on the mount" Mathew 5, 6 & 7.

Teachings that up till today have not been fully dissected.

I recall reading a book many years ago focused on the beatitudes from Matthew chapter five(5). The author had yet to scratch the surface of this great teaching.

Mary sat at His feet and listened while Martha ran around making preparations.

We do not know what we have, in having direct link with the Messiah.

Just as Martha could sit at His feet and learn God's will and fulfil purpose, we also have this great privilege to eat from the master's pot.

John 14:26

But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

As we join others in worship today let us enjoy the fellowship of one another, however we are reminded that our fellowship with Yeshua, Jesus the Christ is second to none. He is the revealer of the Father. The personification of the Godhead.

Romans 1:20

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Colossians 2:9

For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

So religious people could still keep seeking for a God who seems lost to them, but those who have been born of the Spirit already have access to Him and have that relationship with Him.

Colossians 2:6-7

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

For when we gather it is individual believers that gather, each one having encountered the Father by the Son. Thus when a stranger comes into the midst, they know that they need to become family too.

So do not toil with your personal time with the Father, your study of the Word and your personal worship, thus when we gather the experience is always awesome, for we gather in His name.

Ephesians 5:1

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.

Thus our character and relationship with one another is of the fruit of the Spirit, and there is no room for the fruit of the flesh.

Ephesians 5:2

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

For we all go out individually into the world to shine that light that we are, because of our sonship in the Heavenly Father.

Philippians 2:15

so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

So help us Good Lord.
