Romans 8:6

So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.


The victory that Christ brought to the believer, is freedom from sin, which leads to freedom from death. Thus fear and condemnation is removed, we then have the status of sonship.


Romans 8:4

He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.


Romans 8:16

For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.


Is there a drawback? Yes. We still live in a carnal body, for without the earthy suit, you don't have a right to be on earth. 


This earthy suit relates with the carnal. It's counterpart is the Spirit!


Romans 8:7

For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.


Romans 8:8

That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.


So it is to let go of the sinful flesh and live by the Spirit.


Romans 8:4-6

He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.


So the whole duty of the believer is to walk in the Spirit!


Listen to what Christ said:


John 14:26

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.


So you see that living by your spirit, is living by the Holy Spirit, for the Holy Spirit communicates with your spirit, teaching you all you need to know, bringing to remembrance scriptures for everyday living and for kingdom business.


John 16:13-15

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.

All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’


So the whole duty of the believer is submitting to the direction of the Spirit. That is the battle, when you get this you have won.


So we need God's help here.


Help us Good Lord.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
