STAY IN THE SPIRIT
Ephesians 4:30
And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
Judges 16:20
And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" So he awoke from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.
When Jesus was to physically leave the earth He said He promised that the Father will give us the Spirit and yes He did.
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
John 16:13-15
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.
All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’
It is our duty to listen and obey.
We cannot afford to get so busy or occupied that we do not know when the Spirit speaks to us, many a stress we could avoid and many a victory we miss when we neglect the Holy Spirit.
God gave us His Spirit because of His love for us, it is up to us to appreciate this love and submit to the Spirit's leading.
Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Our prayer life, bible study and good works is empowered by the Holy Spirit, He ensures we do it the right way. He knows all things.
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
How many things can we remember? How many enemies do we know? To what extent can we be conscious? What strength do we have?
When I pray, I remind the Father that I do not know much neither can I cover all in my mind.
The Holy Spirit intercedes for us and when we "speak in tongues" He helps us pass our messages in codes and volumes to and from heaven.
He covers ground we can barely touch.
The Holy Spirit does not disturb, neither does He bring confusion, those who tend to confusion, or contradict the truth and claim it is the Holy Spirit cannot be speaking the truth. All evidence in the New Testament about the Holy Spirit had order with it. Especially when He manifested in individuals.
1 Corinthians 14:33,40
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.
But be sure that everything is done properly and in order.
Remember it is a day to day work, He doesn't finish His work just at a moment. Neither does He just appear in a crusade or meeting. He works in and with us everyday.
Do we have the evidence of Him in us?
Check! Beginning with me, yes me writing and you reading. Check!
Galatians 5:22, 23 & 25
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
I see us awakening in the Spirit, all areas of our life will reflect His presence and character.
We will succeed.
He calls us blessed.
