HOW DO YOU REACT?

Proverbs 15:13

A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day.

1Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Wisdom teaches us that what happens isn't really the problem, what matters most times is the way we react to it. We are not to allow it break us.

We cannot totally escape temptations. People could get us angry, disappoint us or we may make a mistake. You cannot control what people do.

The scripture says that God would make a way of escape for us. Thus there is always a good response. There is always the right reaction, He will help us find it and use it. Halleluyah

We have the opportunity to decide how we react to the situation. Our reaction is all that matters for that is what we can control.

Should we be

* agressive or friendly;

* loud or quiet;

* speak or be silent;

* angry or calm;

* vindictive or lenient;

* take action or leave it to God?

The action we take will determine the series of events that would follow and could either save us and the other person(s) a lot of stress or pain or cause us same.

James 3:5

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!

Ephesians 4:26

 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

That brief moment when you decide what to do or how to react could be the most important. For we must use the gift of descernment.

Proverbs 15:1&18

A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire.

Hot tempers start fights; a calm, cool spirit keeps the peace.

We must be alert at all times to listen and know, when our spirit is instructed to make the right decision. Many a trouble we could avoid. May a pain we can prevent, for ourselves and also for others.

Help us Good Lord.

I see the Spirit of God guiding us day after day, helping us to listen when He cautions and directing us on what to do in every situation.

He calls us blessed.
