GOD IS IN CHARGE
Daniel 4:17
For this has been decreed by the messengers; it is commanded by the holy ones, so that everyone may know that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world.
He gives them to anyone he chooses— even to the lowliest of people.”
Psalms 75:6-7
For promotion [cometh] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God [is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
We really need to be wise. We could sometimes forget who is in charge. We could be distracted and look at our efforts or the tool used to give us that breakthrough. We could then become arrogant or selfish and forget the reason why we are where we are. For everything is for a purpose.
Nebuchadnezzar made that mistake and he suffered like an animal for seven(7) years till he confessed with his mouth that God was the one who rules in the affairs of men.
Belshazzar was not that favoured, he died that very night.
Daniel 5:22,24,30
“You are his successor, O Belshazzar, and you knew all this, yet you have not humbled yourself.
So God has sent this hand to write this message.
That very night Belshazzar, the Babylonian king, was killed.
One problem with some humans is that they fail to learn from the past. They quickly forget the lessons of the past when they face good times or when they face problems. Wisdom is not to let go of "wisdom" when the time comes. Don't forget the oppression you faced before you got there, don't let others go through it. You are given the opportunity so that you can right the wrong not for vengeance or to do the same wrong. Selah
Paul by the Holy Spirit wrote:
Romans 13:1
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
So God is involved in that promotion that we seek or that we already have. We therefore cannot put Him out of the picture, we must be led by Him. We cannot afford to do our own things or act anyhow, no, we must honour Him who gave us the grace to be there.
The parable of the talent talked of the servant who was unproductive because he felt that the authority he had was little compared with what his mates had. The master did not see it that way, the quantity or level of authority didn't matter but what we do with what we have been given.
You may feel you are just a parent, or you have a low managerial position, maybe just a spiritual unit leader, whatever it is, all that matters is that non is insignificant, you make an impact and the Heavenly Father is interested in it. Some boast of giving so much to the work of God while those that work for them do not get their right wages, sorry, it is not the Heavenly Father you are giving to, He does not collect gifts of wickedness.
Our politicians and those holding positions of authority have forgotten who got them to where they are, some of them think it was that person or people they know, the rituals they did, the money they spent or the oaths and allegiances they have sworn to. The truth is that no matter what one does he cannot get there unless God permits it. All must give account.
(*they were not the only ones that "knew" people, did rituals, spent money or made allegiances for that same position! selah*)
If all of us would see that position we hold, as being from God, as high as the president of the country or as basic as the head of a home. The pastor of a church, the CEO of that company, the head of that department or division, the leader of that team or an appointed officer or minister. . .
We would take on a different approach, we would do better and of course be more accountable, knowing this:
Romans 14:12
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
Hebrews 4:13
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 13:17
Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
We must give account, yes, everyone of us. It is about God, no matter how long any one runs away from the truth, it is all about God.
Revelations 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Never forget the Lord of all to whom all, no matter your race or tribe, your religion or belief and whether you believe or not, will give account to. For hiding from the truth cannot change the truth. Selah
I see a better leadership, I see a better accountability, I see God happy with our work.
We will have a good report, yes we will finish well. Say it, "I WILL HAVE A GOOD REPORT so Help me God"
It will be an awesome day.
He calls us blessed.
