BY THE SPIRIT

John 3:5

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

When we were saved, God anointed us with His Holy Spirit empowering us.

Acts 10:38

"how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

1John 2:27

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

The reason for the anointing is to serve, to do good. God directs us to make good impact all over the earth.

Every believer receives the measure of the Spirit to be relevant to the body of Christ and to reach out to the world.

2Corinthians 5:20a

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us:

In essence, we are anointed so that wherever we are it is right to say God is there!

Genesis 41:38

And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?"

Romans 8:19

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

If we reflect back into the days gone by this year, can we say we have worked in the Spirit, have we made the most of the Spirit? What is our scorecard?

Let us remember that our being born of God is unto all good works. If we are instructed and we keep on ignoring it will get to the point where we rarely get any instruction. We must not quench the Spirit.

1Thessalonians 5:19

Do not quench the Spirit.

As we go about our activities this remaining part of the year, may we represent the Most High in word, in conduct and in deed. He will definitely make our paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
