TIME TO DETOXIFY

The battle begins and ends is in the mind. Selah!


Proverbs 4:23

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.


We know we live in a world where we do not have total control over all that happens. Information is communicated to us through many sources consciously or unconsciously through


* tele media

* social media

* radio

* paper media

* friends

* colleagues

* family

* employer/employee

* government and their officials

* people we come in contact with casually

* religious leaders

* lecturers/teachers/facilitators


all these sources seek to feed our mind one way or the other and if they persist enough they reach our soul.


There is therefore the need time and again, to "purge", yes to purge ourselves of all unwanted elements, toxins or negativity.


The same way we gather up a lot of unwanted substances in our feeding, toxic substances in different degrees. We need to keep detoxifying our system now and again to save us from the negative effects of those unwanted substances.


The mind needs to be detoxified of


* evil thoughts

* unforgiveness

* hatred

* envy

* pride

* selfishness

* contentiousness

* unbelief

* lies

* sexual immorality

* fear

* laziness and so on . . .


Colossians 3:5

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.


The bible says we should kill these toxins, pass them out.


How?


Cololoians 3:2, 10-17

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering

 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must

 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection

 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.


Yes for truly the word cleanses:


John 17:17 

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.


The Holy Spirit is always there to help us as we continue to yield to Him.


Romans 12:2 

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.


So when you put off, you have to put on, man has no vacuum. Fill yourself with His Word. Be filled with His Spirit. Then you will not submit to the flesh.


Galatians 5:16 

[This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.


Help us Good Lord.


He calls us blessed.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
