THINKING ABOUT TOMORROW

Proverbs 5:7

So now, my sons, listen to me. Never stray from what I am about to say:

Joshua 22:18

'but that you must turn away this day from following the LORD? And it shall be, if you rebel today against the LORD, that tomorrow He will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel.

*We can't base important actions by the way we feel, or the situation at the moment.

*we feel excited at the moment so we . . .

*we are annoyed at the moment so we . . .

*we don't feel like talking to anyone now so we . . .

*we feel so hungry now so we . . .

*we feel so aroused right now so we

. . .

*we don't feel like praying right now so we . . .

*we don't feel like working right now so we . . .

*we don't feel like listening to what the Spirit is saying now so we . . .

*things look difficult right now so we . . .

*we don't have money right now, so we . . .

*we seem to be delayed today, so we . . .

We need to take a deep breath!

Have we thought of tomorrow!

Wonder what Cain, Esau, Korah, Sambalat and Tobias, Samson, Judas would have to say about this!

If only they had considered what would happen in the near future. They would have been the better for it, we learn from their error NOT fall into the same error. Selah

One could complain of how things are not going well, how hard it seems, how God has not answered that prayer. . . forgetting that some:

*can't see;

*can't walk;

*don't have hands;

*can't speak or hear;

*are in prison;

*are still lost in sin;

*have no one to talk to, or even care for.

Do we really have something to complain of?

We serve a loving God but when He speaks and we don't listen, can we blame Him for the repercussions? We can't walk with God without a measure of patience. There must be self control.

Romans 15:5

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

2Thessalonians 3:5

 Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

Colossians 1:11

strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

Our emotions is the issue, we need to go past our emotion and walk in the spirit.

Galatians 5:16

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

We need to look past the immediate satisfaction, the swift pleasure and the sudden id. We need to look past the present difficulty, the delay and see the tomorrow.

God is faithful, if only we always remember who He is, at those moments, then we would know that all is well.

See, He will never leave us at a level, He is ever ready to lift us up to the next level but for our better and not our fall, so wait on Him. His thoughts are for our peace and good and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11). Thus instead of complains let us give Him praise. Halleluyah.

The Lord will help us, strengthen us and keep us.

We will not err.

We will not be carried away.

In waiting a little while, we will rejoice.

All is well.

We have the Big God in control.

He calls us blessed.
