QUESTIONING GOD?

Romans 9:20

No, don’t say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, “Why have you made me like this?”

Job 40:2

"Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me:

No matter the level of maturity a believer seems to attain, there will still be some things that are not fully comprehended.

I remember teaching once in a youth conference, that if you have not questioned your faith before or asked about God's existence before, you may still do so once in this life time. So get it clear and over with once and for all. For because many religions abound and intellectuals have found their way in, questions about the truth will arise. However, we know that there is only one truth:

John 14:6

Jesust him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

The doubts, unbelieve and questioning could be a total distraction from achieving quality fulfilment in God's purpose for our lives.

Let us not confuse asking God questions on issues we want clarity on. They are not the same, remember that a lot of information we have in the gospel was as a result of questions asked. Selah. (examples: Luke 10:19, Mark 12:28, Matthew 22:28, John 3:4, John 24:5 etc.)

We are not insignificant, valueless or having no say, yet we are human, formed from dust in the body but sustained by God's spirit and possess a soul, which is living because God breathed into us.

Genesis 2:7

And the Lord God made man from the dust of the earth, breathing into him the breath of life: and man became a living soul.

He remains God no matter how familiar or carefree we become.

Difficulties, persecutions, presumed delayed answers to requests or lack should not make us begin to yield to asking questions in doubt, "what do we really know"?

If we know He is Father, let us honour Him as so, even as God, yes we may not have seen Him but we are assured, that if we keep faith even in the midst of difficulty, He will reveal Himself to us.

See Job's testimony

Job 42:5

"I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You.

Let us remember that there is an enemy and his whole aim is to make us doubt and reject God.

So when pressures come we are not to dwell on questions as to doubt but on faith, believing we ask: Lord what do I do?

We are of Him and ofcourse He is real.

He will not let us face more than we can bear.

1Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear.

Oh what great love.

At least we do not need to ask if God loves us. He proves this to us everyday!

Are you NOT born again? What are you waiting for?

You who are His, have you stayed in His presence today? Have you taken advantage of His Spirit's presence. Take action now!

He calls us blessed.
