WHO WE ARE AS A CHURCH

1 Thessalonians 1:1

This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy. We are writing to the church in Thessalonica, to you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. May God give you grace and peace.

NOT all are God's own, for there two types of people on the earth:

1 John 3:10

So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.

Children of God and children of Satan!

John 8:44

For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Now because of the lies of the devil, his children do not hear or tolerate the truth which is from the Lord:

John 8:43,45,47

Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me!

So when I tell the truth, you just naturally don’t believe me!

Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.”

Again Jesus says:

John 3:19-21

And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.

But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

Man has always had a choice to choose their path, and consequently their paternity:

For even before Christ was revealed, the children of Israel were given the option:

Joshua 24:15

But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”

So, the church is the collection of children of God, collectively refered to as the bride of Christ, for as a church we come into inheritance because we are married to Christ. Each of us coming into inheritance because we are sons of God. Selah

Revelation 21:2-4,9,27

And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

So we must get it right, if you have believed and have been saved, you are God's son and you have a direct relationship with Him. Yes you must have your local assembly, all of you serving the Lord God according to His word, yes, the scriptures.

Remember that many things have creeped into the "church", religion, philosophies of man and even idoltory, don't be caught in those hideous things be really free as Christ set you free and enjoy your relationship with your Father.

Remember that the Lord saved you, no man did it, and when you give account, you will give it, no church authority will stand for you. (Have they stood for themselves first!)

So know whom you have trusted, the Lord, not a physical authority or a religion but the Heavenly Father Himself who is revealed in His Word, His Son Jesus the Christ.

Know Your Identity. That you may live the life.

Hello, the authority of the church is the word of God. Human authority infiltrated the church at the early stages, and even now many are not true, for you cannot be against the word and be in truth. For it is:

Listen:

Ephesians 4:5-7

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.

However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ.

The whole world has really been deceived but Christ has set us free by His truth.

John 8:31-32

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

If that is not the truth you are holding on to, then you are not yet there.

Physical cleansings, sacraments, religious rites are not salvation. No it has to do with your Spirit. Awake church!

The Spirit will teach and lead us aright.

He calls us blessed.
