THE RIGHT RESPONSE

Colossians 4:5-6

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.

Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.


We have seen Christ's power, His person, His work of Salvation and what He did for us. We have also seen who we have become in Christ Jesus, the life we ought to live as believers and the expectations from our various roles in this world.


Today, Paul teaches on our conversation especially with those who have not believed. The most important message is the message of salvation in Christ Jesus.


Of course two ingredients are necessary to achieve this: prayer and the study of the word. 

For you cannot tell people what you do not know neither can you help them to turn to the right part without power.


Colossians 4:2-4

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains.

Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.


*Can you see that he is not asking for power to perform miracles or for financial enablement to carry out the work of God, no. We must get our priorities right. There are things that are part of the ministries prayer points. Some are not for they are default.*


This is one of the reasons for our gathering. For our gatherings are about - worship, study of the word and prayers.


We must know what to answer anyone who asks us about the faith, anywhere and anytime.


2 Timothy 4:2

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.


How can you be asked to pray, teach the word or worship and you say you are not ready. No, you walk in the Spirit, you must always be ready. Selah


Every opportunity with an unbeliever is an opportunity to preach the word, directly or indirectly.


So help us Good Lord.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
