OUR TRUST IS IN GOD

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.

In all, our trust is in the Lord God, for He gives us salvation. Our holiness is not by our strength but our trusting in Him. For He says, come!

From the time of old, the Lord has beckoned on man, for truly we can do nothing without Him:

In Genesis He said:

Gensis 3:9

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where [art] thou?

Yes man was made in God's image and with the power of choice, however, man was ever to be dependent on His creator, for in Him was life.

Gensis 2:7

And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Man remains dependent on his maker. Thus David said:

Psalm 14:1a

The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God.

So man was never made to be out of His source, thus scriptures says:

Proverbs 20:27

The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

So when man was lost and doomed because he lost communion with God, God Himself in Christ Jesus came to redeem man.

God called:

Isaiah 1:18

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Man cannot do without God.

Thus man being redeemed still abides to be able to bear fruit:

John 15:4

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

This is why we pray, for we trust in the Lord. Never take prayers for granted, thus Paul et al, asks the church to pray for them:

1 Thessalonians 5:25

Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us.

The Lord also helps us to love one another, for He Himself is love. Halleluyah.

1 Thessalonians 5:26

Greet all the brothers and sisters with a sacred kiss.

This truth is so important and must be taught everywhere:

1 Thessalonians 5:27

I command you in the name of the Lord to read this letter to all the brothers and sisters.

Our trust is in the Lord.

The fall of man then and the fall of many today is as a result of not trusting in the Lord. His grace is released today to all those who will turn to Him.

Thank You Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:28

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.

Love
