LIVING IN THE FAMILY

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.

Stay away from every kind of evil.

Living in God's family on earth implies a certain lifestyle and in the epistles of 1Thessalonians 5:12-22, we are instructed on how it works:

1. We respect spiritual leaders:

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance.

Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.

Furthermore we respect every believer, we do not give room for quarrel or strife.

2. Laziness is not allowed,

NO, if you want to eat, you must work. However, we help those who genuinely need help, especially the disabled and elderly, we encourage boldness remembering that the Spirit we have been given is not of fear. In all we are patient with everyone:

1 Thessalonians 5:14

Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.

3. Vengeance is aborred,

we forgive, yes vengeance is left for the Lord, we don't allow bitterness , we it let go, for we know humans are not perfect, however we do not become the offender. Selah

1 Thessalonians 5:15

See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.

4. Joy,

rejoice always it is your nature, the very fruit of the Spirit and now your spirit. Let nothing steal your joy, know that it will always work out for your good. Always be joyful.

1 Thessalonians 5:16

Always be joyful.

5. PRAY:

pray all kinds of prayer and anywhere, keep praying, you have to. Be always in communion with the Heavenly Father, never get out of reach, be always tunned in, you are never available for the enemy. Glory to God.

Pray for yourself, your family, your farm, the church, your nation, others and for the salvation of souls still lost.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Never stop praying.

6. Be thankful,

see everything(s) will work for your good. God only has good plans for you, so don't get it twisted, give thanks. That situation that looks bad is working for your good. Ask Joseph, David and Daniel. You are of the Lord, He will take care of you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

7. Don't quench the Holy Spirit,

listen when He directs and obey when He instructs, if not He will let you be and that is not good. Hello, the two forces to enable you stay in tune with the Holy Spirit is study of the word and prayers, then meditation.

If you are going to profit as a believer be tuned to the Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 5:19

Do not stifle the Holy Spirit.

8. Don't play with prophesies

1 Thessalonians 5:20

Do not scoff at prophecies,

9. Stay away from any form or likelihood of evil:

1 Thessalonians 5:22

Stay away from every kind of evil.

10. Finally:

1 Thessalonians 5:21

but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.

It boils down to you, away from leaders in the church, other believers, and all the afore listed, you must have your personal relationship with the Heavenly Father that is what His Word did for you. So you must test all things, no matter from whom it is coming from. Even if your leaders err, you cannot err with them. Know the Lord yourself. Each and every believer has the Holy Spirit, Listen, not a collective Holy Spirit but each one has the Spirit. Selah

These are times when we have false prophets, derailed church leaders who have left the battle to seek the world's goods, philosophies, religions and all what NOTs. They are everywhere all seeking for a place in the hearts of humans. The world accepts all. You who is wise knows that there is only one way, truth and only one life.

John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Revelation 1:8,17-18

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.

I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Acts of the Apostles 4:11-12

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,

‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

For all who believe and accept this salvation:

1 Peter 2:9

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

Thus we live like the family of which we are born.

So help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
