JUST PREACH THE TRUTH

1 Thessalonians 2:3-6

So you can see we were not preaching with any deceit or impure motives or trickery.

For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.

Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money!

As for human praise, we have never sought it from you or anyone else.

All these false representations, charades and wrong motives we see in people who claim to come in the name of the Lord, is not new.

Listen:

1 Thessalonians 2:3

So you can see we were not preaching with any deceit or impure motives or trickery.

That means there were some who preached with impure motives and trickery.

1 Thessalonians 2:4

For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.

That means that there were some whose motive were NOT to please God.

1 Thessalonians 2:5

Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money!

That means there were some who just flatter and their aim is to get your money!

1 Thessalonians 2:6

As for human praise, we have never sought it from you or anyone else.

And of course there were some who sought for human praise.

Are we learning from the apostles, the true believers of faith, those that were really called of the Lord and have the right motive?

Many ministers who may have been called of the Lord have lost touch with the Caller because they want to please the people, they want relevance, so many say "thus says the Lord", when the Lord has not spoken!

Many you hold in high esteem may not even be recognized by Christ Jesus, yes, by the Heavenly Father. For their motives are wrong and they serve themselves.

No matter how sentimentally you are attached to, whatever believe or religion. The truth remains the truth.

1 Thessalonians 2:4

For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.

Your pursuit should be of the word of the Lord, that you may know the truth and the truth will set you free. Don't replace God with Money, that powerful force, neither let the fear of man stop you from accepting and living the truth. Hmm. Who is that person that you risk condemnation for.

You think they care about you, of course not, the only person that cares about you is Christ Jesus and He paid the ultimate price for you. See all others just came to make claims and to tell you they heard this and that from one angel or another being, one dream, vision or trance. Hello, when God Himself came down in His Son, yes His Word to give you salvation, why waste time with other story tellers:

This is the only true story:

John 1:1-4,10-12

In the beginning the Word already existed. 

The Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He existed in the beginning with God.

God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him.

He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

He really cares for you, so much that He paid with His life to set you free, don't turn your back on Him. Don't allow any money hungered, self centered, self righteous, egoistic human keep you from fulfilling your purpose in God. Remember:

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Every single one, their title and status here on earth doesn't matter. The truth is that you esteem those people so high here on earth, however the heaven may not even know them. For it is only the Father that can glorify. He only glorified Himself - Christ Jesus, all others get their relevance and glory from man, a false glory!

John 12:27-28,30“

Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But this is the very reason I came!

Father, bring glory to your name.”Then a voice spoke from heaven, saying, “I have already brought glory to my name, and I will do so again.”

Then Jesus told them, “The voice was for your benefit, not mine.

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’

But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

So man of God stick to the truth in God's Word, live the life, be that good example.

You who follow, the word of God is your reference and guide, don't be locked in bondage, know that truth and live in His freedom.

The Lord give us more understanding.

He calls us blessed.
